![]() As for the Wyze cameras, they don’t sell a true outdoor canera and for some reason the Wyze cameras disconnect periodicall during the day. SmartCarrion March 26, 2020, 6:15am 1 There is currently a 10 minute limit on each live view session, so it stops me from using the indoor camera as an effective baby monitor, or using the doorbell cameras to monitor when I’m waiting for some activity to happen in front of the house. They then wanted to caharge me over $140 for a Nest Aware usbcription for all four cameras. They could not figure out how to add the forth camera to Nest Aware and restore the subscription that ther mistakenly cancelled for the three cameras. I am not happy with Nest Aware pricing policy and my experience with Nest Support has been terrible - Google Nest cancelled a fully paid for subscription for 3 cameras when I added a forth camera and the 30 day free Nest Aware subscription expired on the new camera. I just bought an indoor Ring camera and it works great except for the 10 minute limitation on Live View. I have been thinking about replacing all of these with Ring cameras (indoor camera floodlight camera doorbell camera outside camera). I currently have 4 Nest cameras (Hello doorbell one indoor camera 2 outdoor camers) and I have two Wyze indoor cameras. I doesn’t seem that Ring is listening to its customers. ![]() I don’t need continuous recording and would be happy with full time Live View, and recording only when there is motion detected. It definitely limits the viability of the cameras for monitoring what s happening in my house regarding my family. The 10 minute timeout on live view is ridiculous. I totally agrre that continuos Live Vie is an absolute requirement to make Ring cameras viable. I will most likely go to Nest or Arlo who have realized this and able to accomodate customers. It would be unfortunate since it’s a decent product. If not, I’m returning all my Ring products to Amazon and Costco and warning others that they cannot use it this way. Hopefully the Ring Community Mgr will read this and get back to us all as to what Product Management has in the works to address this. Either way it’s a much needed feature and monitoring this way is a real life use case. That is, unless there is some technical limitation on the hardware side. This is not a difficult ask and it seems like a software upgrade. I’m now finding out that I can’t and Ring has no answer as to whether this will be a feature in the product roadmap or not. Unfortuntely I bought almost $2K worth of other cameras and Security System as well thinking I could have Live View on for periods at a time (i.e., to monitor kids playing outside or monitoring a Baby while playing or sleeping…motion alerts don’t help in this situation). Called Support and they said there’s nothing they can do. However, I ended up with the same surprise - I can’t keep Live View on for more than 10min. I will most likely go to Nest or Arlo who have realized this and able to accomodate customers.I have wired Stick Up cam as well and per advertisement bought it to monitor our Baby. ![]() I have wired Stick Up cam as well and per advertisement bought it to monitor our Baby. ![]()
